About the Book

Diagnosed with multiple chronic conditions at a young age, Abby Ferraro’s early life was filled with pain, hospital visits, and uncertainty. However, her unwavering optimism helped her stay hopeful. Everyone Has Something is Abby’s way of sharing that hope. Written when she was just eight years old, the book chronicles her experiences and reflects on how each challenge shaped her into the resilient, joyful person she is today.

Diagnosed with juvenile arthritis at 20 months old, uveitis at seven years old, and Crohn’s disease at eight years old, Abby Ferraro had spent more days in pain than without in her first eight years of life. She became so accustomed to pain that she no longer registered it as such. Even on her hardest days, Abby remained optimistic and joyful. She always believed that tomorrow would be a better day and that everyone has something to overcome in life.
