Abby does an amazing job sharing what it’s like living with her disease. She’s as joyful and well-adjusted as a teenager can be. She really is an amazing kid. I don’t know how we got so lucky. It’s easy to look at her and underestimate the impact of these diseases, not just on the patient, but on the entire family. I thought I’d share a little bit about what it’s like being the mom of a child with a chronic disease.
