Meet Kirra, a resilient little warrior born in April 2023, in the back of an ambulance. From the very beginning, she brought joy to those around her, her arrival marked by a full head of hair and an infectious smile that lit up the room. At just nine months old, Kirra faced a daunting challenge when she contracted both COVID and the rhinovirus.
Despite the odds, she fought valiantly and bounced back to health swiftly. However, her journey took an
unexpected turn when a persistent rash and fever emerged shortly after her recovery. Concerned, her father brought her to the ER, where she received a UTI diagnosis. After ten days of treatment, Kirra’s symptoms persisted, prompting an admittance to Penn State’s Hershey Medical Center in February.
